Original post :HP Officejet 6500 E709n wireless printer does not print from IE or email properly, driver not recognized everywhere in computer.
My HP Officejet 6500 E709n wireless network printer will not print from IE or email but will print a file from computer.
Just downloaded new driver and software from HP, but in devices/printers/computer, windows says no driver.
Kozacy patch 1.35 download. Printer properties says it has a driver. Update says I have a driver already that is working.
Printer will print fine from computer documents, but when I click print in email, get multiple print screens popping up, may eventually print, or not, can't see print job in queue, what the heck???
When I try to get esimated ink levels from printer properties, it says 'the computer is unable to establish two way communication with this device.'

Elsewhere the computer said drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28), but they are, I have a driver number from Microsoft, driver version 0.3.7601
I have reinstalled driver and software, shut down and restarted computer and router, etc, no help. I am beyond frustrated. Problem has been going on for a long time. Network tests ok and printer tests print fine.
Troubleshooting in various places tells me sometimes I don't have a driver, or the printer is not enabled. Enabling does not solve problem.
I have no idea what to do next. HP help was not helpful, last time I tried them, the supervisor sent me 4 pages of registry changes to make. NOT.
Any suggestions????
